DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man.  We believe that the King James Bible does not just contain the word of God but is in fact the very words of God and His final authority in these last days. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21).

GOD

We believe in one Triune God, creator of all that is, eternally existing in three persons or Godhead –the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.   (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; John 14:10, 26).

GOD
JESUS CHRIST

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men (Isa. 7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1: 1-2, 14; 2 Cor. 5:19-2 1; Gal. 4:45; Phil. 2:5-8).  His death was eternally ordained, and carried out under the reign of Pontius Pilate for the express purpose of providing a vicarious, legal, and just payment for the sin of the entire human race (Is. 7:14; 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2, 14; 2 Cor. 5:19-21; Gal. 4:4-5; Phil. 2:5-8). He was raised from the dead on the third day and is the ground for the justification of all who would be saved (Acts 2:18-36; Rom. 3:24-25; 1 Peter 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5). He is presently seated on the right hand of the Father, and will bodily, visibly return to the earth for his own (Acts 1:9-10; Heb. 9:24; 7:25; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2).

JESUS CHRIST
HOLY SPIRIT & SPIRITUAL GIFTS

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead, reproves the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8-11); and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration (being born again), baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption (Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 3:6; Eph. 1: 13-14).

We believe that He is the Divine Teacher who assists believers to understand and appropriate the Scriptures.  (Eph. 1: 17-18; 5:18; 1 John 2:20, 27).

We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowal of spiritual gifts to every believer.  God uniquely uses evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip believers in the assembly in order that they can do the work of the ministry (Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12:4-11, 28; Eph. 4:7-12).

HOLY SPIRIT & SPIRITUL GIFTS
MAN, HIS NATURE & SIN

(Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12; 6:23; Eph. 2:1-3; 4:17-19).

We believe that man was created in the span of a twenty-four hour period. He was created perfect in spirit, soul  and body. Man, though complete and entire, wanting nothing, was, in his innocence, without the knowledge of good and evil. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil, a moral testing ground, was, in the wisdom of God, the perfect opportunity for spiritual development. The natural constitution of man (desire for food, etc.) became the basis for temptation. In the eating of the tree, the willful and direct disobedience to God resulted in a legal estrangement or separation and the curse of physical death on Adam and all his descendants. Therefore, death passed upon all men (Romans 5:12). All men are thus born under the curse of physical death and are estranged from God.

MAN, HIS NATURE & SIN
SALVATION

When man reaches his state of moral accountability, and, by virtue of his personal transgression, becomes blameworthy, his only hope is a work of grace by God alone. Jesus Christ, in human flesh, lived a life of obedience to God, and by virtue of his humanity and Deity, was accounted a worthy substitute for sinning souls. His death and resurrection from the dead are the basis on which God chooses to forgive the repenting-believing sinner. The merits of Christ’s atonement potentially extend to the whole world. The ground of our salvation is the shed blood of Jesus Christ; the occasion of our salvation is our believing God in this regard. Faith and faith alone being the requirement for the imputation of Christ’s righteousness, we believe that the believer is eternally saved in Him (John 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 2:8-10; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; John 14:6).

SALVATION
ETERNAL SECURITY

We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and means in the faith, and are thus secure in Christ forever (John 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Rom. 8:1, 38-39; 1 Cor. 1:4-8; 1 Pet. 1:4-5).

ETERNAL SECURITY
THE CHURCH

We believe that the church consists of all saved believers (body of Christ) and local assemblies of believers (local churches).  We believe that the establishment of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32; 1 Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11).

We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control (Acts 13: 1 4; 15:19-3 1; 20:28; Rom. 16:1, 4; 1 Cor. 3:9, 16; 5:4-7, 13; 1 Peter 5:1-4).

We recognize water baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper as the Scriptural ordinances of obedience for the church in this age (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 18:18; 1 Cor. 11:23-26).

We believe in the importance of the local church and that the welfare of the family is greatly enhanced by its submission to and support of a local church. God established the church as a critical element in one’s spiritual life, as well as being a vehicle through which God has ordained the proper exercise of spiritual gifts and callings, worship, and teaching of the Word of God. Family worship is good and desirable, but should not be substituted for public worship and serving God in a local church assembly. (Heb 10:25; Acts 20:7; Acts 2:46; Luke 24:53)

THE CHURCH
THE SECOND ADVENT OF CHRIST

We believe in that "blessed hope," the personal, imminent return of Christ who will rapture His Church prior to the tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom (1000 year millennium) which was promised to the nation of Israel (Ps. 89:3-4; Dan. 2:31-45; Zech. 14:4-11; 1 Thess. 1: 10; 1 Thess. 4; 13-18; Titus 2:13; Rev. 3: 10; 19:11-16; 20:1-6).

THE SECOND ADVENT OF CHRIST
THE ETERNAL STATE

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment (Matt. 25:46; John 5:28, 29; 11:25-26; Rev. 20:5-6, 12-13).

We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where they await the first resurrection, when spirit and soul, are joined to a glorified body and are then glorified forever with the Lord (Luke 23:43; 2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:23; 3:21; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Rev. 20:4-6).

We believe that the souls of unbelievers remain, after death, in conscious punishment and torment until the second resurrection, when with soul and body reunited they shall appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, and shall be cast into the Lake of Fire, not to be annihilated, but to suffer everlasting conscious punishment and torment (Matt. 25:41-46; Mark. 9:43-48; Luke 16:19-26; 2 Thess. 1:7-9; Jude 6-7; Rev. 20:11-15).

THE ETERNAL STATE
RIGHTLY DIVIDING

We believe that rightly dividing the Bible is essential to good doctrine. (II Tim. 2:15).  We are dispensational and reject Charismatic and Covenant theology.

RIGHTLY DIVIDING
SATAN

We believe that there exists a created, finite, heavenly creature called: the Devil, Satan, The Wicked, the Serpent, The Dragon.  He seeks to overthrow the work of God.  He is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire (Job 1:6-7; Isa. 14:12-17; Matt. 4:2-11; 25:4 1; Rev. 20: 10).

SATAN
CREATION

We believe the Genesis account of creation as being neither allegory nor myth, but a literal, historical

account of the direct, immediate, creative acts of God without any evolutionary process; that man, spirit, soul and body, was created by a direct work of God and not from previously existing forms of life; and that all men are descended from the historical Adam and Eve, the first parents of the entire human race (Genesis 1 and 2; Isaiah 45:18; John 1:3; Colossians 1:16, 17).

CREATION
CIVIL GOVERNMENT & ORDER OF AUTHORITY

We believe that God has ordained and created all authority in order. God is the head of Christ, Christ is the head of the man, man is the head of the woman. (1 Cor. 11:3) Christ is also the head of the church. (Eph 5:23) We also believe that we are to be subject to civil government and laws of the land, as long as they don’t interfere with our ability to obey God’s laws. (Rom 13:1-6; Acts 5:29)

CIVIL GOVERNMENT & ORDER OF AUTHORITY
FAMILY

God has given clearly defined roles to men and women in the home and in the church (Ephesians 5:22-6:4; I Peter 3:1-7; Proverbs 31; Titus 2:3-5; I Tim 5:14; I Tim. 2:11,12).  While these roles have come under attack in our culture, God has not changed.  We embrace, teach, and celebrate these distinct roles.

We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord.  God has called us to be fruitful and multiply.  We reject our culture’s view of children as financial burdens that should be received sparingly.  Instead, we rejoice with those who receive children in abundance, and mourn with those whose prayerful plea for the blessing of children has gone unanswered (Psalms 127:3-5; 128; Genesis 1:28; Proverbs 17:6; Job 42:12-16).

FAMILY
HUMAN SEXUALITY

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversions of God's gift of sex (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5, 13; Gen. 26:8-9; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom 1: 26-29; 1 Cor. 5: 1; 6:9; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4).

HUMAN SEXUALITY
MARRIAGE

We believe marriage to be the uniting of a man and woman for life; it is the legal union of a man and woman for life, by which the parties engage to live together in mutual affection and fidelity, till death shall separate them. Any other union is a sinful perversion of God’s plan for mankind. (Gen. 2:24; Lev. 20:13; Matt. 19:5-6; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 6:18; 1 Cor. 7:10; 1 Cor. 7:39; Eph. 5:31; Heb. 13:4)

MARRIAGE
MISSIONS

We believe that God has given the church a great commission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:2 1; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:20).
